We are a patient-led community dedicated to empathy, education and empowerment for Canadians living with migraine.

“This group has literally saved my life. When I’m not sure if I can manage I get hope from this group, whether in the form of information about new meds etc or support. When I’m embarrassed to talk about my symptoms because they sound nuts to me, someone else mentions the same symptoms which validates what I’m experiencing. While it’s not a club anyone wants to belong to, it has provided so much to me everyday. Thanks folks!”

“I want to say thanks to you because what you do is not only valuable, it’s life changing for all of us. In this community we can find support and also reliable information to help improve our condition. I want to thank you from my heart for all you do for us.”

— A.M., Quebec

“Thank goodness for this group and the wonderful resources and documents provided by Maya. Personally, I have found the treatment guide to be incredibly empowering! I have learned more about treatment options in this group than I have from my neurologist. So now that I feel better informed, I can more easily advocate for treatments I want to try. Thankfully, my neurologist is receptive when I bring suggestions forward.”

Maya Carvalho you have been extremely helpful. Your guide for migraine patients is better than any neurologist I have ever seen (and it matches up with all the information that my good migraine doc has given me), and that makes me less anxious about changing cities and not having the same medical support I do now.

“This community has made me feel less alone especially because my migraines are so isolating. Maya you have been a huge inspiration as well. You have shown me that we have the power to speak up and advocate for change to improve our quality of life. Thank you for always being there for us and the community”

My migraine warriors! Love this group. I spoke with my GP today about a neurologist and ENT referral. I explained that I have been doing some research and found similarities between my migraines and vestibular migraines. I only researched it because of this wonderful page and Maya Carvalho. I know I’ve said before thank you but you have made me feel human again. That there are reasons why I feel klutzy, dizzy and deaf!
